Abstract

With the rapid growth of motor vehicles, road safety has become a significant concern. This underscores the importance of evaluating road safety at a regional level. Applying an appropriate evaluation method is crucial to visualize fluctuations in outcomes. This study develops a hybrid Entropy–PROMETHEE model to assess road safety development for the ASEAN countries. Comparisons of the empirical results verify the robustness of the proposed model, indicating its reliability and validity. Overall, the proposed methodology provides a scientific foundation for future policymaking and resource allocation regarding road safety in Southeast Asia.
