A Review of Research on the Employment Effects of China's Digital Economy
Based on LDA Thematic Modeling

The development of digital economy has profoundly affected the scale, structure and quality of employment in China. Academic research around the employment effect of digital economy is increasing, but related studies are scattered and have not yet formed a clear research framework. In this paper, we take 94 Chinese literatures on the employment effect of China's digital economy as the research object, aggregate 14 research themes based on the LDA thematic model, and identify four main research contents, namely, characterization, antecedents, influence mechanism and effect results, by combining manual coding and the LDAvis visualization tool. Based on this, a comprehensive research framework on the employment effects of China's digital economy is constructed, and possible future research directions are pointed out in order to promote the development of related research.
