Trust and Efficiency: Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence Technologies Empower Supply Chain Finance

This paper first analyzes four historical fraud cases in China's supply chain finance. Secondly, it explores the reasons why frauds are prone to occur in traditional supply chain finance: the multi-link circulation involving numerous participants including suppliers, manufacturers, logistics providers, retailers, banks, and factoring institutions, which leads to problems such as information asymmetry, lack of trust, and high financing costs. Thirdly, it elaborates on the necessity of applying blockchain and artificial intelligence technologies in supply chain finance. Finally, it examines how these two technologies empower supply chain finance to address issues of trust and efficiency.
