Xiaomi's Global Expansion: The Extensions of Its Ecosystem and Fan Economy

This paper provides an in-depth analysis of the background, model, opportunities, and challenges of Xiaomi's global expansion, aiming to reveal the company's unique strategies and the global environment it faces. Through literature review and data collection, it was found that Xiaomi has successfully penetrated overseas markets by leveraging its mature domestic business model, ecosystem product advantages, and successful experience in fan-based economy, achieving certain accomplishments within the broader context of the Internet of Things (IoT) development. However, Xiaomi's global expansion also faces a series of uncertainties brought about by economic globalization. Through the research and discussion of Xiaomi's global expansion, this paper also offers a brief analysis and outlook on the global expansion of Chinese enterprises, with the hope that Chinese companies will better step onto the world stage in the future.
