In English, the most vivid word to express the space relation may be the prepositions. Metaphor especially spatial metaphor, the indispensable method to define the world, is the key to research the polysemy of preposition. So, the spatial metaphor of prepositions plays a critical role in people’s life and it is used frequently. The author now presents the spatial metaphor of preposition based on the image schema.
