The activity-based approach to English learning, as a breakthrough point for implementing core competencies goals, plays a vital guiding role in reading teaching. How to apply the activity-based approach to English reading teaching has become an important topic in current English teaching. The research analyzes the connotation of senior English reading teaching from the perspective of the activity-based approach to English learning and value of the activity-based approach to English learning, explores the reading teaching strategies guided by the activity-based approach to English learning based on the problems in reading activity design, so as to provide some inspiration for improving the current situation of reading teaching and enhancing the effectiveness of reading teaching.
