The rapid development of generative artificial intelligence (AIGC) technology is profoundly reshaping the creative paradigms and talent demands of the 3D animation industry, thereby posing revolutionary requirements for the teaching systems of animation majors in colleges and universities. This article aims to systematically explore the aesthetic education value, technical challenges, and implementation paths of AI technology empowering 3D animation course teaching. The research first elaborates on the core values of AI in four dimensions: reshaping the creative process, achieving personalized learning, lowering technical barriers, and constructing an intelligent evaluation system. Then, it objectively analyzes the practical challenges currently faced, including technical ethics and academic integrity, the transformation of teachers' roles, the lagging of the curriculum system, and hardware costs. Finally, it proposes systematic approaches such as building a new "AI + animation" aesthetic education ecosystem, developing human-machine collaborative teaching models, formulating responsible AI application guidelines, and implementing tiered strategies to promote the high-quality digital transformation of 3D animation education.
