Abstract

Against the backdrop of rapid advancements in artificial intelligence technology and the powerful momentum of the digital wave, dramatic arts face profound disruptions in creation, performance, dissemination, and reception. This study systematically examines the current applications, theoretical challenges, and future approaches of AI in dramatic arts across three dimensions: technological empowerment, aesthetic innovation, and cultural heritage. Through immersive theater, virtual actors, and intelligent scriptwriting, AI not only expands the physical and narrative boundaries of theater but also reshapes audience-performance dynamics and aesthetic experiences. Technological intervention, however, raises concerns about the dissolution of artistic essence, ethical risks, and cultural homogenization. Deep integration of AI and theater should pursue innovative transformation of technology and tradition while safeguarding humanistic spirit and artistic integrity.
