Abstract

The long rural novel by Liang Shanding, The Green Valley, reflects the regional culture and the resistance of Northeast China, during the War of Resistance against Japan. It stands as an important work, while the existing researches on the novel has largely focused on its thematic implications, characterization, textual and edition-related questions and other aspects. To the Contrast, the spatial narrative of the work has remained inferior attention. Considering this, this paper intends to take it as academic subject by methods of spatial narratology.
