Abstract

Based on the principles of cognitive linguistics, the difficulties and metaphorical issues in translating Network hot words is explored. The relationships between cognition, metaphor, and translation are explored. On the basis of the relationships, taking Network hot words in 2022 as the research object, this article analyzes its metaphorical meanings a perspective of cognitive principles and proposes a translation method that combines dynamic context analysis and social and cultural environment considerations. The research results manifest that the difficulties in translating Network hot words mainly come from the differences in metaphors of different cultural languages, which are reflected in the semantic generalization of languages.
