Abstract

The emergence of smart city initiatives has reshaped the approach to urban renewal, focusing on integrating digital technologies to enhance urban infrastructure and sustainability. Intelligent Building Technology (IBT) has been instrumental in this transition, providing innovative solutions for energy efficiency, resource management, and resident well-being. This paper investigates the application of IBT within the framework of smart cities to optimize urban renewal strategies. Through an examination of relevant case studies, we propose a structured approach to implementing IBT, addressing current challenges and exploring future potentials. The study offers strategic insights into sustainable urban development for policymakers and urban planners.
