Study on Smart Retrofit Program for Non-Intelligent Cantilever Roller Shutters

In response to the pain points of the cantilever roller shutters used in agricultural greenhouses in vast rural areas, a low - cost and high - benefit intelligent upgrade solution is proposed. This solution is based on retrofitting the existing roller shutters, eliminating the need to purchase new ones and without altering the structure of the existing agricultural greenhouses. The aim of this paper is to transform the cantilever roller shutters by adding functions such as remote control, anti - over - rolling protection, and automatic rolling curtain retraction and deployment. These improvements can reduce curtain - rolling failures and farmers' losses, safeguard the safety of farmers' lives and property, and achieve a highly - efficient intelligent upgrade of the agricultural greenhouse roller shutters with relatively low economic input.
