Abstract

Lu You is a litterateur of the Southern Song Dynasty in China, who has many literary talents, especially poetry achievements. The Zhejiang East Canal has long been famous under his works, but few people have studied the canal culture based on Lu You’s poems. This study reviews Lu You’s travels along the Zhejiang East Canal and his poems. By exploring the origin of Lu You’s poems and their connection with the canal, and analyzing the poetry of Lu You’s canal travels, the research reveals the integration of Lu You’s journey along the canal and the related poems, and promotes its international dissemination and development.
