The professionalization of Party organizational officers in universities is crucial for the quality of grassroots Party-building work and the fundamental task of cultivating moral values and nurturing people. The key to achieving their professionalization lies in shaping their professional identity in practice. To promote the transition of Party organizational officers in universities from being "full-time" to becoming "professional", a framework for explaining their professional development is constructed from the perspective of identity construction using the theory of Community of practice. Addressing the current practical difficulties faced by Party organizational officers, such as changes of participatory roles, evolution of affiliation patterns, and shifts in practice fields, we should enhance professional autonomy, professional synergy, and professional effectiveness from the perspective of building communities of practice. This approach aims to foster value recognition of the professional identity of Party organizational officers from the inside out.
