Abstract

Starting from the perspective of constructing physical fitness training majors in ordinary higher education institutions, this paper explores new directions for talent cultivation in university physical fitness training curriculum under the background of national curriculum reform. Constructing a high-quality interdisciplinary curriculum system for physical fitness training majors is of great significance in promoting students' comprehensive development and improving the level of curriculum construction for university physical fitness training majors. Taking the curriculum construction of physical fitness training majors at Lingnan Normal University as an example, this study focuses on integrating interdisciplinary concepts into physical fitness training courses, using research methods such as literature review and practical investigation. The study finds that constructing university physical fitness training majors faces significant challenges in disciplinary integration, faculty strength, curriculum design, and student adaptation. Countermeasures proposed include strengthening interdisciplinary research and cooperation, enhancing faculty strength, optimizing curriculum design, improving teaching methods, and providing student support services, which can effectively address these challenges.
