Exploring the Impact of University Counselors' Big Five Personality Traits on Students' Academic Performance in Yunnan

This literature review examines the influence of university counselors' Big Five personality traits on students' academic performance from Yunnan. The review highlights the role of conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness, emotional stability, and openness in shaping students' learning outcomes. It emphasizes the critical role of counselors, particularly their conscientiousness and emotional stability, in effectively managing students' academic and personal growth. The analysis suggests that counselors' personality traits not only affect their work efficiency but also indirectly impact students' self-regulatory learning strategies and, consequently, their academic achievement. The review concludes that enhancing counselors' Big Five personality traits is crucial for boosting students' overall performance and well-being in the university setting.
