Vocational education plays a key role in driving regional economic development by providing a skilled workforce that meets the needs of local industries. This paper explores the mechanisms driving the development of vocational education and ways to align it with regional economic coordination. Key mechanisms include competency-based curriculum reform, strengthening teacher development, and promoting industry partnerships. In addition, this paper discusses strategies to ensure balanced development of rural and urban education and align vocational education with regional economic goals. A framework for integrating vocational education into regional development is proposed, emphasizing the need for continuous adaptation and feedback loops. The findings highlight the importance of a collaborative approach to vocational education that can promote both educational quality and economic growth at the regional level.
