Unemployment is a necessary part of social problems. COVID-19 drives unemployment rates around the world to levels unseen in a generation. In this research paper, a secondary statistical analysis of the correlation between the unemployment rate and mortality is made on the data from the National Bureau of Statistics and Local Bureau Of Statistics. (from 2009 to 2019). We collect the unemployment rate and mortality rate for each province in China from 2009 to 2019, along with the data related to GDP. The results show that there is a positive linear correlation between the unemployment rate and the mortality rate in the overall scope.
