Abstract

The main problem is to develop a carbon sequestration model to determine the carbon sequestration capacity of forests and their products and then, based on this, to determine a forest management plan that is most effective in sequestration of CO2. After that, a decision model for understanding forest utilization is developed. Finally, we select Chinese forestry as the representative and present the results of a study on selective felling of temperate coniferous and mixed broad-leaved forests to promote carbon sequestration in a reasonable time interval.
