The Impacts of the Trade War on High-tech Industries

Abstract

In this paper, we focus on the impacts that the trade war between China and the United States brough to the global economics especially for some high-tech industries from countries all around the world and use a specific case study on CATL to explain how hard for a Chinese High-tech corporation to build their factory in the United States. The trade war between these two countries have made lots of significant issues to the global world. We considered this trade war from several perspectives. In this passage, we focused on eight impacts that the trade war will bring to the global economy and most of them are related to high-tech industry. Impacts that included in reducing high-tech global supply chain, decreasing technological innovation, moving technological center from China to Vietnam etc. The trade war, in some way, become a tool to stimulate the technological innovation from bilateral countries.
