Economic growth goal; Labor productivity; Financial pressure.Abstract
Based on the provincial panel data of 30 provinces in China from 2003 to 2020, this paper studies the relationship between economic growth goal and labor productivity by using the double fixed effect model. The results show that the economic growth goal significantly inhibits labor productivity. The moderating effect shows that the interaction between financial pressure and economic growth goal is significantly positive, which means the interaction between financial pressure and economic growth goal can promote the growth of labor productivity.
