Geopolymer-biochar composites combine the durability and mechanical properties of geopolymers with the porous structure and adsorption properties of biochar, becoming a new type of composite material with wide application potential. This paper reviews the basic properties of geopolymers and biochar, the preparation methods of composite materials, key properties and their application prospects in the fields of construction, environmental remediation and carbon sequestration, analyzes the current research hotspots and challenges, and proposes future research directions.
