As key pillar industries of the national economy, construction and real estate have played an important role in stabilizing employment. However, with the acceleration of the transformation of the construction industry towards "intelligent construction", the lagging skill level of industrial workers, the imbalance of structure, and the problem of talent gap are becoming increasingly prominent, which are limiting the high-quality development of the construction industry. In response to the development trend of vocational education in the new era, in order to meet the demand for improving the quality of industrial workers in the intelligent construction industry, it is necessary to continuously deepen the supply side structural reform of vocational education. Based on the practical experience of Guangxi Polytechnic of Construction, we can explore effective ways for vocational education to empower the construction industry's workforce.
