Abstract

Legal terminology, intricately embedded in specific cultural, historical, and legal contexts, presents special obstacles in translation between Chinese and English. This study identifies significant inequalities in language and culture that may result in ambiguity, misinterpretation, and possible legal consequences in practice. This study identifies potential effects on legal practice arising from conflicts and discrepancies in translation, concluding with recommendations to enhance legal translation standards, essential for mitigating risks and promoting mutual understanding in international legal contexts.
