Research and Practice of Blended Learning in College English Teaching in Chinese Universities from a Multimodality Perspective

College English teaching exhibits characteristics of diversification, multimodality, and digitization in terms of teaching resources, teaching activities, teaching approaches and means, as well as teaching evaluation. Based on the theory of multimodality, this study analyzes the application and practical paths of blended teaching in college English courses, explores the role of this teaching mode in promoting the effectiveness of curriculum reform in Chinese universities and improving students' academic performance, and puts forward some operational suggestions for using this teaching mode in instruction.
